Objectives:

    To provide the fundamental notions and software engineering techniques which can be applied in practical software projects.

Description:

    Overview of information systems in organizations: scope, conceptual structure. Models of software process. System and software requirements analysis and specification. Design process. Architectural design, function-oriented and object-oriented design. MERISE design method and AMC*Designer CASE tool. Databases and algorithms design. User interface design. Software testing techniques and strategies. Documentation, quality assurance plan, management. Software maintenance. CASE tools. Implementing information systems in C++. Generalized software: design and utilization. Basic notions of accounting. CIEL-CONTAB 8 - an end-user approach.


Pre-requested courses: compulsory: Computer Programming, Databases.
