hWiki (started in 2006) aims to use/define microformats for expressing certain information within a Wiki platform in order to semantically enhance the Web content. A set of new microformats is designed, to model precise information about geo-references and products/services. Several case studies are available, by using XWiki system as a test-bed Java-based implementation. Also, a recommender Web agent is proposed to offer relevant information based on related microformats.

SEAweb (1999-2004) represents the research part of Dr. Sabin-Corneliu Buraga's PhD thesis, which received Cum laude distinction of Doctor title in 2004). The thesis' aim is the development of the specific techniques for spatial-temporal manipulation of multimedia objects on Web, using different formalisms (such as different temporal logics), with the help of RDF constructs, in order to give support for the Semantic Web. Using these techniques, a multi-platform and multi-language architecture – called ITW – is proposed to be used in the context of (multimedia) resources discovering. This platform is based on diverse distributed Web components, such as Web services and Web agents, exploiting the relations between Web sites' resources. All involved information within the proposed system is XML-based, by using different languages for expressing associated metadata and temporal relationships established between Web multimedia resources.
Special thanks to Dr. Dorel Lucanu for his useful remarks and suggestions regarding this work.

tuBiG (2003-2004, 2007) represents a Java-based layered infrastructure to create the adequate framework for complex interactions between Grid components (e.g., agents or Web services). Using a shared-memory modeled by sets of tuples inspired by Linda, the tuBiG project presents an abstract communication architecture that can be used to map existing Web-based technologies. Our last studies are focused on practical deployment of Grid technologies in different areas such as e-learning, disaster management, etc.

ADF – Agent Developing Framework (2003-2006) is an abstract framework to be used in designing and implementation stages of building (mobile) agents within a multi-agent architecture. Initially, the ADF framework consisted of a hierarchy of classes (structured as a Java package) and a visual developing tool. The proposed API offers the core functionalities of an agent-oriented system (e.g., agents, hosts, name service, migration, and messaging). In the present, ADF has a proper open source reference implementation using J2EE and the system is focusing on agent collaboration.

Omega (2000-2003) is a multi-agent object-oriented infrastructure that can be considered as a hierarchical space of a set of distributed objects that models the Web resources. To enable the flexible querying and accessing mechanisms about the distributed Web resources, Omega offers an original serialization model. For each object, different metadata constructs can be attached to specify several semantic properties.
Omega was started as a collaboration work between Sinica Alboaie and Gabriel Ciobanu, then continued by Sabin-Corneliu Buraga and Lenuta Alboaie.
